| Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway |
| Why not spend a day at the seaside. We meet at 12noon at the beginning of the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, at Hythe Station, where there should be ample parking, and travel to St Mary's Bay. We are now close to where Edith spent the last few years of her life. A short walk (about 10 minutes) brings us to the sea where we can enjoy a leisurely picnic. We return to Hythe by train. |

| A Birthday Celebration for E Nesbit |

| Church of St Mary in the Marsh, Romney Marsh, 2.30pm |
This year there will be no Sunday morning service at St Mary in the Marsh, Romney Marsh.
We are, however, going to hold our usual ceremony at her graveside with readings, poetry and the laying of a wreath at 2.30pm. All are welcome.
Afterwards, in true birthday style, we have booked tea and scones at the Lathe Barn,Burmarsh, just a short drive from the church. |

| Celebrating the life of Tommy Tucker, second husband to Edith Nesbit, Freeman of the River Thames and chief engineer on the Woolwich Ferry our talk, to which all are welcome, will include 'Waterman and Lighterman of the River Thames. |
